Survey of Italian Geography

from $590.00

Course Description

This course, as a survey of Italian geography, will seek to establish a framework for encountering Italy both as a whole and in its distinctive regional identities. Topographical, political, and anthropological geographies will merge to create a unitive understanding of the Italian peninsula, its geopolitical makeup, as well as its globally impactful human cultural pageantry.

We will:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of universal themes pertaining to Italian geography as well as regional considerations

  • Reflect on personal experiences or hoped for experiences as a mode of personalizing the L2 classroom and enhance professional development opportunities

  • Engage in professional conversation concerning the value of geography in L2 curriculum

  • Develop practicable curricular solutions for the implementation of an intentional geographical element in the breadth of an L2 curriculum.

Course conducted in Italian.
