Winter Session 1 Courses Start
Winter session 1 instructor-facilitated coursework on Schoology begins January 13 (except German courses) and ends February 21. Grades will be submitted by the instructor within one week of course completion with transcripts available 7-10 days after.
Winter Session 2 Courses Start
Winter Session 2 instructor-facilitated coursework on Schoology begins February 24 (except German courses) and ends April 4. Grades will be submitted by the instructor within one week of course completion with transcripts available 7-10 days after.
Spring Session 1 Courses Start
Spring Session 1 instructor-facilitated coursework on Schoology begins April 7 (except German courses) and ends May 16. Grades will be submitted by the instructor within one week of course completion with transcripts available 7-10 days after.
Spring Session 2 Courses Start
Spring Session 2 coursework on Schoology begins May 19 (except German courses) and ends June 27. Grades will be submitted by the instructor within one week of course completion with transcripts available 7-10 days after.

Fall German instructor-facilitated coursework with Goethe-Institut USA begins October 22 and ends December 17. Register by October 8.
Fall Session Courses Start

American Classical League (ACL) Partnership Benefits with Idioma
American Classical League and Idioma Education & Consulting have joined forces to offer a variety of graduate courses in Latin at a discounted rate for ACL members. This variety of courses can be taken for professional development, to work towards an M.Ed., and for continuing education credits. AATSP Virtual Programs Fair
Join us at the inaugural AATSP Virtual Programs Fair, a unique opportunity designed to inform high school and post-secondary students about Spanish and Portuguese programs at the post-secondary level. This virtual event will feature an array of college and university programs that are specific to the Spanish and/or Portuguese languages, giving attendees the opportunity to interact directly with program representatives, gather information, and ask questions about their future academic paths.

Workshop: Summer Curriculum Writing
Are you writing a World Languages Curriculum this summer and want some guidance? Join other teachers to learn, collaborate and work through challenges. This 15-hour, asynchronous workshop will be facilitated by Amy St. Arnaud. Amy has written and updated curriculums for grades 6 - 12 to align to state standards, ACTFL and the Seal of Biliteracy. There will be three modules. Each module will have an optional google meet as well as a discussion board to share ideas and challenges. Those who have taken this workshop in the past are welcome to join as the discussions change as the group does! Going back to these readings is also a good practice.

Idioma partners with accredited universities, associations, and state professional development organizations to meet the requirements for educator licensure and salary advancement. The 6 week asynchronous online courses linked in the session below are facilitated by an instructor, and can be taken for 3 graduate-level credits or for 45 professional development hours. Learn more about our graduate credit options here.
All instructor-facilitated courses now offer optional office hours to meet with the instructor and collaborate with your classmates.

This webinar with Maureen Lamb will review the new ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. By providing additional clarity and updating these guidelines, these guidelines will become the basis of national standards and give a more clear common understanding of expectations. We will look at the newly interpreted understandings of proficiency and performance as well as how the new FACT model will apply to proficiency in Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. We will look at how to use these guidelines to create IPAs, rubrics, and a more clear understand of where students are on their language learning journey.

Welcome to Idioma's FREE coaching sessions for new teachers! Together with fellow new world language teachers and world language teachers seeking licensure, we are holding space to share challenges and successes in our classrooms, strategize and problem solve to turn classroom management woes into wins, and ultimately work together to grow confidence in our teaching practices and put the responsibility of learning on the students. Join veteran Idioma world language teachers, occasional guest speakers, and your new teacher colleagues once a month on Tuesday nights at 7:30 PM EST on Google Meet.
