Idioma Connects at the NECTFL Annual Conference 2025 in New York City
Idioma’s booth #310 in the Exhibit Hall at the NECTFL Annual Conference 2025.
From February 27 to March 1, 2025, Idioma had the honor of exhibiting at the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (NECTFL) Annual Conference 2025 in New York City. Idioma’s President and Founder and Elisa Kirschhoffer, Marketing Director and K-12 Program Director represented Idioma at the booth in the Exhibit Hall and Idioma was a partial sponsor for the NECTFL Advisory Council Plenary and Lunch. As a dedicated partner in language education, we were thrilled to connect with world language educators, share our mission, and contribute to important conversations shaping the future of our field.
A Shared Vision for Language Education
At Idioma, we believe in the power of proficiency-based instruction, equitable access to language education, and the professional growth of educators. These values align closely with NECTFL’s mission to advance the teaching and learning of world languages. Our presence at the conference reinforced our commitment to cultivating a community of practice where educators feel supported and empowered.

One of the highlights of our participation was sponsoring the Advisory Council Plenary and Lunch. This event provided an invaluable opportunity to engage with leaders in world language education and discuss ways to support educators at every stage of their careers. During the lunch, we shared details about our licensure support programs for Massachusetts and New Jersey, designed to help aspiring and current teachers navigate certification requirements and advance in the profession.
Building Connections with the World Language Teaching Community
Beyond our sponsorship, our time at NECTFL was filled with meaningful interactions, connections and conversations. At our exhibitor booth, we had the chance to meet passionate educators, exchange ideas, and showcase how Idioma’s professional development opportunities, consulting services, and instructional resources can help teachers enhance their practice. We also connected with educators who have taken our courses, are currently enrolled in the M.Ed. and our licensure support programs, and who have heard about us through their language or state associations. These conversations reinforced the importance of community-driven professional learning and the impact of collaborative efforts in shaping the future of world language education.
We hosted a Scavenger Hunt to promote our language association partnerships with AATG, AATSP, Goethe-Institut and AATI who all exhibited in support of NECTFL educators and world language education. We also held a raffle at the Idioma booth and NECTFL attendees spun the prize wheel to win clipboards, journals, luggage tags, sticky notes and other fun, useful prizes!
Looking Ahead
Our experience at NECTFL 2025 reaffirmed our dedication to supporting world language educators and advocating for high-quality, proficiency-based instruction. We look forward to continuing these conversations, strengthening partnerships, and growing together as a community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, attended our sponsored event, and contributed to the vibrant exchange of ideas. Until next year!
